Rotary shaft seals, also known as oil seals, compression glands, simmer rings etc.
Rotary shaft seal type OAD in NBR-70 (black) is a special double-acting rotary shaft seal that consists of a rubber-coated metal housing, and two sealing lips with springs which protect the main sealing lip from outside contamination, or to separate two media.
The springs are made of regular unalloyed spring steel.
The Rotary shaft seal is designed to seal against grease, oil and water in rotary applications. A standard oil seal ring is designed to run at a maximum pressure of 0.5 bar.

APPLICATION
Used in almost every industry as a good reliable sealing in rotating machines, shafts, axles, power tools and gearboxes. The OAD type is often used in more dust polluted environments such as agriculture and the construction and mining industries.
INSTALLATION
Installation according to DIN 3760. It is very important that the assembly tools must be of soft material and have no sharp edges. Before installation all individual parts of the seal must be oiled with system oil.
NOTES
The additional sealing lip can cause increased temperature because of the friction.
